Family Owned & Operated
Trish and Holly (mother and daughter team-extraordinaire) are the managers and directors of Eden Early Learning. Between them they have 40+ years of experience working in Early Childhood Education.
They understand the importance of creating a safe, friendly and whānau-orientated environment. This is instilled in everything they do to ensure that each child is able to enjoy their time at Eden Early Learning.
With both Trish and Holly being parents they understand the important role parents play in their child’s lives and they value what parents share with them – in fact it is encouraged. This enables parents to have influence over decisions being made around their child’s learning.

Our Philosophy
Whanaungatanga
At Eden Early Learning, we accept and believe that every whānau is unique and individual. We will work with whānau on their quest to reach their fullest potential by providing a place that is safe, supportive, inclusive, respectful, and positive. Eden Early Learning is a place to grow and flourish emotionally, spiritually, socially, physically, and intellectually. Our ambition is to strengthen the connection between whānau and Eden Early Learning by having an environment where whānau feel safe to openly communicate and discuss their aspirations, joys, and concerns with kaimahi.
Manaakitanga
We want all tamariki to feel secure, safe, warm and nurtured. We believe that the voice of all tamariki is vital to be heard, respected and advocated. Tamariki are created by God, each special, unique, full of gifts and talents that we will help discover, develop and support. We will provide a secure, respectful, joyful atmosphere for all tamariki to flourish and grow in all aspects of their developing minds, bodies and spirits.
Kotahitanga
We believe that all kaimahi at Eden Early Learning are a united team with honest communication being at the forefront of the team. We will provide an environment for every member of our team to feel a great sense of belonging and partnership. Our goal is to give opportunities for staff to feel the freedom to share their passion for learning and teaching. The partnership between our team and families is integral to developing our vision into everyday reality.
Ako
For tamariki to construct knowledge, they need the freedom to discover for themselves in authentic situations. We will provide tamariki with the opportunity to follow their own interests through hands-on activities set up by tamariki and kaiako together. We believe the role of kaiako is to guide and provide access to information, rather than acting as the primary source of information. Thirst for knowledge is met as we together find answers to their questions or interests. Our kaiako create the appropriate time, spaces and resources to support learning, which provides each akonga the opportunity to discover, develop and grow.
Tangata whenuatangata
We recognise Māori as tangata whenua of New Zealand and Te Tiriti O Waitangi as the founding document of our country. In accordance with this we believe it is crucial to provide a curriculum that recognises and reflects our bi-cultural and multicultural communities, and which supports the beliefs of whānau and the wider community.
